Nature vs. technology has become a leading topic among consumers, scientists, conservators, and food technologists. The discussions' basis is the increased use of technologies including GMOs, preservatives, herbicides, and pesticides in food production. Whereas technology can improve food production, debate on if technology has damaged nature has been raised. The critics have argued that technology cannot replace nature completely because by achieving so, the planet shall be uninhabitable, which would complicate matters in the future (Aleksejeva, 2014). Nonetheless, the significance of technology in food production cannot be ignored.
